Permanent Place of Remembrance Planning

The City of Highland Park is undertaking a trauma-informed planning process to create a permanent place of remembrance that will pay tribute to the memory of the seven victims of the Highland Park shooting, create a space(s) for reflection, remembrance, and solace, and honor the community’s resiliency, especially those who were injured.

Exploring new ways to connect with you is a priority. We’re sharing information about our resource partners’ services, mental health and wellness tips, and ideas to manage trauma responses and build resiliency on Facebook and Instagram @resilienthpil.

Remembrance Event

Please join us on Friday, July 4, at 9AM at The Moraine (1201 Park Ave W.). The event will begin with a short ceremony and conclude with an opportunity to participate in the creation of a community mosaic that will pay tribute to those whose lives were taken and honor the community’s resiliency.
